The first step in discovering if your child needs speech/language therapy includes a screening. The screening is a quick assessment to determine if a full speech evaluation is needed.


Should I get my child screened?

The following is a list of the Top 8 Reasons you should get your child screened. This list includes the most common reasons, however if you are unsure, feel free to call our office with any questions.

Your child’s speech is difficult to understand.

Your child is not talking or combining words as expected.

You find yourself interpreting for your child to friends and family members.

Your child is showing signs of frustration or behavioral challenges because of speech or language difficulties.

Your child’s teacher, pediatrician, or caregiver has expressed concerns regarding his/her communication skills.

How do I schedule a screening?

To obtain a screening for your child, you must provide your consent to allow our speech therapist to screen your child. Please download and complete the form below by clicking on the "Consent Form" button. After completing and signing the form, send to our office via email or dropping off in person.
