Will my insurance cover speech therapy?

FayettevilleSpeaks currently accepts Medicaid, ArKids and various other insurance providers. However some insurance plans do not cover speech therapy, it is critical that you check directly with your insurance company to determine what your plan benefits are for speech therapy and if there is any “fine print” in the plan. If we are not an in-network provider for your insurance, we will provide you with a superbill for you to send to your insurance for reimbursement. The money you pay for speech therapy can be applied toward your deductible even if your insurance does not offer speech therapy benefits.

If you have further questions about your insurance and FayettevilleSpeaks, please complete and submit the contact form on the 'Contact Us' tab above.

How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?

If your child's speech -language delay is present at an early age, your health care team may recommend speech therapy as part of your child’s early intervention plan. There are also language developmental milestones that you can monitor to make sure your child is on track. Always discuss any concerns with your child's PCP.

If you suspect your child may be delayed in his or her speech and language skills, you can also send in a request for a screening. FayettevilleSpeaks will contact your child’s PCP if the screening results determine that a comprehensive speech-language evaluation is needed. For more information about screenings, please visit the 'Screening' tab at the top of this page.
